Japan, Hua Chunying (華春瑩)
I must point out that the territorial disputes between Japan and its neighbors stem from its past aggression and colonial rules. We hope that Japan can face up to history, have a deep reflection on it and take real action to win back trust from its Asian neighbors.
- Hua Chunying (華春瑩), during a regular press briefing (2014.02.05)
History, Li Keqiang
The forces of justice and the Chinese people -- and the people elsewhere who love peace -- will never accept any comments or actions that seek to deny or glorify the past history of fascist aggression.

Abe's visit to the shrine has already attracted the Chinese people's ire and denunciation. How can a person who is not willing to face up to their own history, to facts, win the trust of the international community or cause people to believe he has a role to play in maintaining regional and global peace and stability?

Japan, Luo Zhaohui (羅照輝)
Japan must bear the consequences arising from this. The visit, the first by an incumbent Japanese prime minister since 2006, causes great harm to the feelings of the Asian people and creates a significant new political obstacle to bilateral relations.

Japan, Qin Gang (秦剛)
The essence of Japanese leaders' visits to the Yasukuni shrine is to beautify Japan's history of militaristic aggression and colonial rule. It is an attempt to overturn international society's just ruling on Japan's militarism and to challenge the results of World War II and the post-war international order.

Japan, Qin Gang (秦剛)
We strongly protest and seriously condemn the Japanese leader's acts.

In a speech yesterday in Potsdam, Germany, site of the conference where terms of surrender were dictated to Japan, Li said that agreement reaffirmed Japan should return all territory stolen from China, including “Taiwan and related islands.”

China Soft Landing May Be Hard for Commodity Exporters
By Bloomberg News - 2012.03.26 10:41 AM
The good news: China’s government will engineer a soft landing. The bad news: Even a soft landing is painful for industries that have become dependent on the world’s fastest-growing major economy as their main profit engine.
